Testimonials

I have a hard time finding the words to describe how much the June camp meant to her. At the camp, it was her first time ever skating in full equipment, and experiencing hockey.

I was worried. would she be too far behind the girls that had played all year? Maybe this wasn’t for her? I was so wrong. You instilled this “FIERCE” confidence in her. A confidence I’ve never seen in her. She chanted and sang about how fierce she was the whole was home. She decided to sign up for hockey this year in our home town, and she absolutely lights up every time I tell her it’s hockey night.

So thank you for providing girls with this amazing opportunity!

“Growing up, I would have given anything to have an all-female camp with all-female role models and it is crazy to think that I have become one. I had girls come up to me asking if I really played Wildcats and asking if they could have an autograph, as if I was a superstar! That made me realize how important it is for us to advocate for the future of girls in sport… Meeting all the girls this weekend and being a leader for them is something I will never forget; it was beyond incredible.”

“To Amy and All Involved,

First off WOW! As the Admin for the BU Cats Club and women’s program at BU, I have been a part of so many camps and programs and this one blew me away.

It was so well organized. Every adult we dealt with over the weekend was friendly and encouraging.

My daughter is only 4 and she has never worn hockey equipment so all of it was a big learning curve for her. She needed a lot of help and there was always a smiling face to help her.

Someday she will look back and say, when I tried hockey, I couldn’t skate, but Ashton Bell helped me around the rink.

Forever grateful.”

“My girls had a great time and can’t wait for the next one. Being from the north and travelling 8 hours was well worth it. Great job to all involved. Thanks again.”

“My daughter and her two-year-old brother yelled “What are we? FIERCE!” the whole two-hour drive home. Thanks again for the amazingly inspiring and empowering weekend! Can’t wait for the next one.”

“My daughter had never played hockey and wondered what it was all about. This camp is an amazing introduction to the game! It was so empowering and special. At one point, another mom and I looked at each other and said, “This makes me want to tear up.” It was honestly so amazing to watch their demeanors change and the smiles.”

“My daughter left today with so much confidence in herself. It grew tenfold this weekend. By far the best part.”
